How to make Marble Boxes
Marmaris boxes go through a winding path to reach your hands. Marble, after being cut to a thickness of three millimeters, is cut in different dimensions. Then they go through the sanding and connecting the stone pieces to each other, and finally the putty work until the time comes to connect the lid and body of the box to each other, and finally the raw body of the boxes is ready. After that, these raw marble boxes are sent to the workshop and handed over to the painting artists. After a few days of being a guest of the artist and being adorned with a unique design, the painted stone boxes are taken to the polyester workshop. Polyester is a transparent coating that is sprayed on marble slabs to protect the paintings from moisture in the air and hands. After spraying three to five layers of polyester, these beautiful marble stone boxes are transferred to the sales workshop and there they are fully reviewed and examined. If there is no problem in the polyester process and the painting done on the stone and the final polishing process, the boxes

This is just a summary without any details of what happens to the marble on this journey. The stone faces various challenges along the way. For example, before the painted boxes reach the polyester workshop, contact with a wet hand can erase all the artist’s hard work!

How to Care for Marble Boxes
Since the entire painted surface on the marble is covered with polyester, contact with moisture won’t cause any problems for the products. Therefore, to clean the boxes, we recommend using a soft, damp cloth. However, keep in mind that while polyester protects the painting from moisture, it’s best to avoid direct contact of the marble box with water itself due to the living nature of the marble and the incompatibility of polyester with water.
Price of Marble Painting Boxes
The price of marble painting boxes depends on several factors. One of these factors is the size of the box and the difficulty and complexity of its manufacturing process. Obviously, smaller boxes will be cheaper. Another important factor is the subject and type of painting. Some designs are very detailed and time-consuming, while others are relatively less detailed. The artist who created each painting and the style chosen for painting the box are also other factors that influence the price of the marble box.
In conclusion, keep in mind that every marble box is a unique, one-of-a-kind, and unrepeatable piece. These are all handmade works, and no hand can ever produce two exactly similar pieces; this is the strength and beauty of handmade Marmaris artworks. On the other hand, marble has beautiful veins, and the density, shape, and color of these veins differ in each piece. Therefore, you can never find two completely identical pieces of marble. So, know that any piece from Marmaris products that you purchase is a unique and exquisite work of art that exists only in your collection.
